If you have not read any books in this series, I think it would be an easy book to read. However, if this is your first Johnathan Quinn book, I promise you will want to go back and start from the beginning. The book starts out with a fast moving thrilling scene, and really does not let up for most of the book.
I did like that the This is a wonderful addition to a great series. I did like that the author spent some quality time with the characters though, catching the reader up with their lives.
Battles is particularly good at writing action scenes, and this book is no exception. As you read, you can see the action so clearly.
Battles has for his readers next. May 27, Connie Y. I have read all of the Quinn novels and each book further develops the characters, adding layers of nuance to their personalities.
Nate and Quinn's rift has weighed heavily on them, and on the readers. The team is fractured, as is Nate, himself, following Liz's death. What will happen when Quinn needs Nate's help against a cold and clever villain? The story line is taut with suspense and I love Brett Battles' detailed descriptions of the action, problem solving and practical considerations at each stage of the mission. But the best part of the Quinn series is how each character becomes more complex, well rounded and dear to me with each installment.
I devoured this book and can't wait for Book 13 to learn what happens next! Jun 07, Teresa Collins rated it it was amazing. This is my first Jonathan Quinn novel and I was afraid I was going to be totally lost since it's number However, Mr. Battles gives enough back story when it's needed to keep the reader from feeling even a little bit lost.
He found just the right balance of giving me enough information to be able to follow the history without feeling like he rehashed every book in the series.

This series is consistently among the best with great stories, continuous action with incredible detail, good characters and plenty of twists.
In this one, Nate, Quinn's former intern and partner finds his way back to the team. Additionally, Quinn and Orlando get an opportunity to re-open the "Office," a quasi-governmental dark ops agency with a previous administrative aide to the old director.
It'll be interesting to see how this de Solid story in a long running high quality series in the genre. It'll be interesting to see how this develops as the vessel by which Quinn, Orlando and company acquire jobs in the future. This one is a continuation of a long arch in the series which includes Nate's love for Quinn's sister who dies during an operation that she was not meant to be a participant. It fractured the team and is likely to continue to be a sore spot between Nate and Quinn as the series goes forward.

The Fractured is a fast-paced thriller, that kept me flipping pages, yet the author took the time to delve deeply into the relationship between Quinn and his partner Nate. I've been a fan of the Quinn series since I read the first novel, and this one did not disappoint.
The techniques used to bring down the bad guys continue to spark my curiosity, and the relationships between the supporting characters continue to be entertaining. Great characters, good dialogue, depth, and a fast-paced plot make this one of the best novels in the series. Jun 05, Jenny Waterfall rated it it was amazing. A book that is so so hard to put down as you just want to know what is going to happen next! The sensitive sides of Quinn and Nate are explored as their relationship dynamics have changed, however that doesn't mean this book is lacking in suspense, action and good old fashion goodies versus the baddies - the opposite is true with the reformation of the office and the team tracking down international arms dealers.

The body count is up, the injury list is full and the tech tricks are as amazing as ever! Can't wait to see what happens next! Jul 31, Katherine VanderSluis rated it really liked it Shelves: action-suspense. Another satisfying Quinn! This one began with an entirely different twist: for the first half of the book, Nate is the one Quinn is "stealthing" after a supreme challenge, since Quinn is the one who taught Nate the finesses of stealth.
Also unexpected, the authority shifts to Orlando, while a new brand of evil rises, threatening our nation and the increasingly precarious balance of world affairs. Meanwhile, we see the characters of both Jar and Nate develop more deeply.
Thank you, Brett Battle Another satisfying Quinn! Thank you, Brett Battles! Jun 06, Estrella rated it it was amazing. A real page turner and so glad Quinn and the gang are back. A True Ride I hate suspense novels. They drive me nuts — and none more so than Battles' Quinn series. Characters you care about and the non-stop escalation of dangers compels one to stay up until three in the morning to complete the ride and make sure Quinn and his crew survive.
Beware - a happy ending is not a certainty. Jun 28, Robert Bradberry rated it it was amazing. Smooth I like these characters and the simple smoothness of the plots in this excellent series.
It's as if a single scene is broken down to it's most basic components and we're able to see it from the viewpoint of the watcher and the oblivious person being watched.

Yes, starting her computer again would come with risks, but she was being smart about it. It was designed so that certain functions, such as disconnecting networking abilities, could be achieved by the flick of a switch on the back.
This particular function was useful in hacking situations gone bad, where getting offline in a hurry could be the difference between being identified or not. She now turned that switch off and pushed the power button. Before she had a chance to input her password, though, it was automatically entered for her and the window vanished.
Next, instead of her normal desktop screen, the monitor turned a glowing black. Jar typed in a command that should have reset the screen, but nothing happened.
